The ferry operator
Venezia Lines is a high-speed ferry operator that has been in operation since May 2003, connecting the North Adriatic coasts of Italy, Croatia, and Slovenia. As the leading ferry company in the North Adriatic, Venezia Lines has brought reliability and expertise to the market, staying abreast of trends in the travel industry. The company benefits from the technical expertise of Virtu Ferries Ltd, ferry operators with over 30 years of experience in high-speed travel.
In the North Adriatic, Venezia Lines currently operates two vessels, San Frangisk and its sister ship San Pawl, both with a capacity of 310 passengers. They are currently deployed on routes between Venice, Italy, and the Croatian ports of Poreč, Rovinj, Pula, and Umag, as well as Piran in Slovenia. With a crossing time ranging from 2 hours and 30 minutes to 4 hours depending on the destination, Venezia Lines is by far the fastest carrier among these ports, with an average speed of approximately 35 knots.
The service, operational from April to October, offers visitors to the Istrian Peninsula the opportunity to visit Venice with one of the company's increasingly popular round-trip journeys. Since the inception of their operations, they have transported an average of 20,000 individual one-way passengers per year between Croatian and Slovenian ports to Venice and vice versa. Venezia Lines can now be considered a market leader in this sector, transporting an average of 97% of the One Way market.
