The port of Linosa, also called Scalo Vecchio, is the main port on the island, located in the south it consists of a 120-meter quay, equipped to allow ferries and small boats to moor with an 80 meter pier. It is sheltered from the northern winds and has ferry connections with the neighboring islands. Currently Linosa has three berths for ships to ensure that at least one is always accessible in case of strong winds. The island is connected to Lampedusa and Porto Empedocle by daily ferries. However, bad weather conditions can sometimes affect transport, which run a reduced service during the winter season. Nearby there are also two Diving Centers for those who enjoy underwater exploration and fishing.
