Porto Vecchio is located in the west of the city and has a quay that extends to the west called Pilarella and one that is located southeast of Domizio.

The port played an important role under Spanish rule and at the beginning of the '900 they expanded the piers and quays and built shipyards. The port of Valle is located in the modern part of the city and it opens to the north, it is divided into three distinct areas: the industrial area for shipyards, the commercial area for fishing and ferries for the islands and the tourist area reserved for pleasure craft. There are many service in the port area including diesel and petrol refueling, drinking water provision, electricity, toilets and repair services.
