Some of the best UK family-friendly festivals

If you are planning a holiday with your little ones, Netferry has some exciting ideas for you! Today, we leave for England, a country that captivates you with its greenery and magical atmosphere. The UK hosts a complete summer calendar of events and festivals for families. Festivals can be great with kids; they are full of colours, music and fun; the experience will remain in their memories for years to come!

Netferry has researched some of the most exciting festivals that will take place in the coming months in England, whether it is sunny or rainy, the important thing is to have fun, through music, dance and art! Combine this with camping and some mud to unleash the festival spirit in all of us!

In the heart of England, near Nottingham, is Derby, the town that hosts Timber Festival, from 3rd to 5th July. It is a relaxing event, suitable for families and offers the chance to spend a weekend in the forest, in close contact with trees and nature. We recommend that you bring a stroller because there is a little walk from the parking lot to the festival area, but once you arrive, set up your tent with your little ones and start your family adventure! Tickets cost € 120 for adults, and € 35 for children and children under three go free, and you can alternatively choose not to camp and buy a cheaper day ticket.

Cornbury Festival from 10th to 12th July happens annually in the Cotswolds, north-west of London. The adventure of camping, surrounded by nature, will be a lot of fun for your little ones. Netferry advises you to take your time to walk around and find a good pitch off the slopes, close enough to the toilets and showers and not too far from the festival ground where the events take place. This festival has a large arena with four stages and an activity area for children, where there are loads of different activities along with stalls and a small fair. All events for children at this festival are free, excluding the fairground rides. The cost of a weekend ticket is around € 230 for adults, €125 for children aged 13 to 16 and € 24 for children under 12. The music is plentiful, and therefore, in addition to sunscreen and mosquito repellent, do not forget ear protection for the little ones!

From 16 to 19th July, Latitude Festival takes place in beautiful Henham Park, in Suffolk. There are activities and entertainment galore, with different music in three different areas of the park! This is one of the best, award-winning, family festivals, all set around Lake Latitude! There is a fabulous area for children, with fire shows, or pizza-making, traditional crafts in the woods plus some fun (and educational) scientific experiments. There is also an area for teenagers, with music, fashion and technology events, talks and performances. Ticket cost is around €255 for adults, €170 for children up to 15 years and less than €20 for children under 12.

Finally, from 21st to 23rd August in Cheshire, there is Just So Festival! Just So is more than a festival, it's a family adventure full of fantasy and wonder! Just So festival allows families to get out of their daily routine and enter a wonderland, where art, theatre, dance, music, comedy and creative activities will expand your horizons. Midnight celebrations in magical lands, tribal challenges, tournaments and curious creatures will be there to entertain the whole family. The cost of adult tickets for the entire weekend is around €173 and children under three do not pay. There are also day tickets available at a lower price.
